Quick changes, and particularly onstage ones, are the best kind of magic. When they do quick changes on the Tonys, I'm so happy because it means I'll be able to rewind and watch, rewind and watch, over and over again. Here are some of my favorites:
Cinderella - "Impossible"
The Fairy Godmother's change is fun, and I can pretty much understand where all of the pieces hide. But then Cinderella pulls her quick change and I'm like whaaaaa? I especially love the hair change. Where is all that white skirt hiding? These costume changes remind me of the transforming dresses on this year's runway models. How on earth does the fabric fall that uniformly and that fast? Do they use minor explosives or something?
Sister Act - "I Could Be That Guy"
Even though the magic behind this one is easy to explain -- he's wearing 3 layers of clothing held together by velcro -- it's still pretty cool to watch.
The Drowsy Chaperone - "No More"
She has a number of fun quick changes, and but my favorite involves the umbrella. (You'll see what I mean!)
Legally Blonde - "Ohmigod You Guys"
This one's also a no-brainer, but still fun -- Elle going from a white dress to pink. (And a bonus: the Delta Nu doing a "quick change" sliding down the fire pole!)

Yes. Quick Changes are some of my favorite bits of theatre magic! Thanks for sharing the videos - they're totally keeping me entertained at the airport :) iI think I've seen that Drowsy Chaperone clip about a hundred times (Oh, Sutton Foster, you are wonderful), and I definitely rewound and rewatched that scene from the Tonys.
I assume you've seen these folks? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1k644cjRt4
